Tribeam “Eraser Laser” for tattoos
Tri-Beam Gen Technique™ offers the newest technology in reducing the appearance
of brown spots. Traditional technology uses IPL, but the Tri-Beam uses a safe
fractionated 1064nm or 532nm laser to target tattoo ink in the skin. Simply put, this
newer technology treats the skin in gentle little pulses versus an all-in-1 single pulse
of light. This allows us to treat the tattoo ink more aggressively and minimize damage
to surrounding tissues.
TATTOO REMOVAL
The market for effective tattoo removal has grown greatly over the last ten years.
Studies have shown that at least 20% of people regret their tattoos. Tattoos are
created by injecting colored pigment into small deep holes made in the skin. These
marks or designs are relatively permanent. If a patient wants their tattoos removed,
most physicians today consider laser surgery the best method. The Q-switched
Nd:YAG is the most frequently used laser for tattoo removal. During treatment, pulses
of light from the laser are directed onto the tattoo, breaking up the tattoo pigment.
Tattoo ink absorbs the laser energy and this breaks down the ink into much smaller
particles that can be more easily removed by the body’s natural filtering system.
The body takes time to filter out the tattoo ink. This is why it takes multiple treatments
and at least a year to effectively remove a tattoo. Each treatment you receive breaks
down more and more of the tattoo ink.
In general it is easier to treat black and grey ink. The most difficult color to treat is teal.
Why should I choose Tribeam “Eraser Laser” for my tattoo removal
•
The Tribeam is a new generation of tattoo removal lasers
•
Less chance of scarring
•
Less pain during treatment
•
Less treatments needed
•
Less downtime after treatment
At Mbeauty Clinic we use Microneedling along with your Tribeam treatment to further
breakdown the tattoo ink, resulting in better and faster results!
Does it hurt?
The good news is the treatment hurts less than actually getting the tattoo! There can
be some discomfort with the treatment but we maximize your comfort by using high
quality numbing cream and a special cooling machine. The treatment takes about 5
minutes for a tattoo that’s the size of the palm of a hand.
What can I expect during my appointment?
You can expect to be in the office for about 2 hours. Most of the appointment time is
due to numbing time. Once you’re ready for treatment the numbing cream is cleaned
off and treatment length depends on how large the tattoo is.
What can I expect after treatment?
Downtime varies depending on how large the tattoo is and how aggressive treatment
is. Most patients experience warmth and swelling after treatment. The tattoo
immediately looks frosted and can be tender to touch. Tenderness and swelling can
be alleviated by icing the treated area. For large tattoos it is normal to have some
bruising from swelling a few days after treatment. As the tattoo ink lightens and more
aggressive treatment is needed, it is possible to have some blistering that resolves in
a few days. Overall downtime is much more manageable with the Tribeam laser than
with older traditional laser tattoo treatments.
How many treatments do I need?
The number of treatments vary depending on your response, how large the tattoo is,
the color of your tattoo, your skin type and your goals. On average a series is about
10 treatments done once every 2 months. Some patients see significant reduction is
as little as 3 treatments.
